have fun and say hi to security for me if it's not presumptuous you're spending time together
[she's still in her pajamas when she answers the door properly rather than poking her head through it, her soft smile making its way into her tone.] Helena. Hello.
[she really, really is going to have to get over this strange flipping feeling she gets when someone assumes her and Security are in the same vicinity or whatever. but Ava won't see the look on her face, and instead will meet her when she is there, with a slightly tired smile instead. she's been running around, but she's happy.]
Hi. I tried the pickles you mentioned - I may be slightly more on Mr. Smith's side, regarding them. It feels like an unnecessary thing to do to a pickle.
If by unnecessary you mean more delicious... Did you at least find a treat more to your liking? [she can see the signs of being a bit worn out, but at least not worryingly so. maybe nobody else absolutely crashes after having far too much fun in a single day, but that's why she's taking it easy now and eager to have Helena join her.]
A good selection of sweets, but as far as savories went...there was a place that cut a potato into a big spiral and then put things on it.
[Helena's been pushing herself, so actually being somewhere quiet is letting how much she does need to rest trickle in. it's just what happens when you want to do everything at once and then realize later that you forgot to sit down in the process.]
... Ah, that's one I didn't try. [almost regretfully but any more she probably would have made herself sick, and she didn't need that on top of her energy crash.]
Peter's favorite was probably the funnel cake. Got me right in the face with the sugar... [light giggle.] But the bear makes up for it. [she tries picking it up, but it's big enough that even with her lifting its legs still drag upon the floor.]
Oh, I loved the funnel cake....though I half expected it to be in a funnel shape.
[hey, it wouldn't be the weirdest thing there. but the mention of the bear has her eyes widen some - it really existed. Ava had really found one of them and Peter had been clever enough to win one.]
[stepping forward towards Ava's voice, she reaches out for the bear, expression melting when her hand touches it and she realizes how soft it is. plush, definitely bigger than herself, unreasonably indulgent. her hand strokes the fur, and if Ava wasn't a dear friend, she'd restrain herself from putting her face against it. as it is? she can do that, utterly delighted.]
Oh, it's wonderful.
[simple joys in life. good food, large plush bears, friends.]
[watching Helena explore the bear is almost as much joy as Ava had in receiving it herself, and she gently lowers it back to the floor because it's making her always sore arms a bit tired.]
I bet it'd be really nice to nap on... [a bit of a tentative offer, since Helena appears in need of one.]

I will come and see you.
[and in the afternoon, she does - the carnival is fun, but everyone needs a break, and she wants to check on Ava. so, knock knock at her door.]

...May I touch it?

[peeks out from behind the bear as much as she can.]
Of course. All you want. I'm holding it right now.

[she would feel awkward sleeping if Ava didn't, after all.]

[actually, a nap might be great, since it's all beginning to catch up to her as she's thinking about it...]
